Job summary

As an Social Worker / Social Work Lead with Change Grow Live you will role model and lead ethical and evidence-based practice, focusing on the experience for people who use services. You will be a specialist lead to the team, providing advice and consultation on risk, safeguarding and complex needs. You will act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead in the team and provide professional accountability for complex decision making and work collaboratively with the multi- disciplinary team to establish safe and effective ways to work with people.

Where Liverpool, We have 8 sites around Liverpool and jobs will be based in anyone of these.

Hours Full time, 37.5 hrs per week

Full time Salary £37,184.91 - £44,471.72 dependent on experience (based on full time hours, pro rata if part time)

About the Role

  • Respond flexibly to the needs of people who use services and the team, which will include being involved in the support of complex cases
  • Facilitate and develop the skills of the team to enhance case coordination and support offered to people with complex and multiple needs
  • Coach and develop the team to work with people where there are complex issues related to substance misuse
  • Support the team to increase their knowledge and skills by delivering bespoke training, workshops and bitesize learning
  • Focus on professional relationships - increase understanding of roles and services to strengthen partnership working, collaboration and referral pathways
  • Contribute to the support, learning and development of social work students on placement and newly qualified social workers
  • Understand the purpose of administrative tasks and complete them to a high standard
  • Fulfil the role of the Designated Safeguarding Lead contributing to the wellbeing of people
  • Utilise leadership and coaching skills to provide reflective supervision to the multi-disciplinary staff team


About you

  • Hold a valid qualification in Social Work and be registered with the regulatory body
  • Good working knowledge of children/adult social care system
  • Experience and knowledge on the working practice of Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults
  • Experience of developing and sustaining positive working relationships with a range of professionals
  • Experience of positively engaging with people who use services
  • Excellent social work skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of complex Excellent team working, communication and collaboration skills
  • Make, or support staff to make, child protection or child in need referrals.
  • Ability to identify emerging themes and trends and work collaboratively with people to respond to these.
  • Be available to all staff for advice and support around safeguarding children and adults at risk issues.
  • Be able to work flexibly across operational sites as required and to work flexibly within an agreed number of hours to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision. This may involve evening and weekend working
