Salary:
£37,938 – £47,754 + market supplement/welcome bonus
Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Liquid Personnel are currently recruiting for a Social Worker / Senior Practitioner to join an Integrated Assessment Service based in Oxford.

Join a dynamic and responsive team within an Integrated Assessment Service, where your expertise in frontline statutory social work will be central to safeguarding and supporting children, young people, and their families. As aSenior Social Worker, you’ll bring knowledge, compassion, and confident decision-making to an evolving service dedicated to high-quality care and child-focused practice.

Key Objectives
  • Deliver professional social work to a diverse caseload, using evidence-based approaches that elevate the voice of the child.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of legislation, guidance, and statutory practice (particularly the Children Acts (1989 & 2004), Working Together to Safeguard Children, and OCC’s Threshold of Needs and Practice Standards).
  • Provide child centred services that reflect current national and local frameworks such as the DoH Assessment Framework (2000), and contribute to the development of Oxfordshire’s Family Solutions Plus (FSP) approach.
  • Offer flexible support aligned with service needs, including occasional work outside of core hours.
Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake timely assessments and interventions for children and families across the Front Door service.
  • Lead and support strengths-based work using FSP Workbook modules, promoting long-term positive outcomes.
  • Prepare and present professional reports for Child Protection Conferences, court proceedings, and internal panels.
  • Represent children’s plans clearly and ethically in multi-agency reviews, legal contexts, and statutory meetings.
  • Maintain high-quality records in line with ICT systems and performance measures.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory safeguarding frameworks, OCC policy, and professional standards.
  • Engage in duty rota for referrals and Section 47 investigations when required.
  • Work collaboratively with health, education, police, and wider services to create integrated, child-focused plans.
  • Promote equality, anti-discriminatory practice, and active participation of families in decisions.
  • Champion continuous development through supervision, reflective practice, and training.
Experience
  • At least 3 years post-qualifying experience in a relavent role, including: Completion of you ASYE.
