About the Role:

Here is an exciting opportunity to become a Senior Practitioner in our Fostering Support and Supervision Team. You'll be instrumental in guiding and developing foster carers, ensuring that children in care are placed in nurturing and secure homes.

What You Will Do:

  1. Provide guidance and supervision to foster carers, ensuring high-quality placements.
  2. Complete Special Guardianship Order (SGO) assessments as required.
  3. Conduct annual reviews of foster carers and ensure adherence to fostering regulations and standards.
  4. Undertake some out-of-county home visits and maintain case responsibility.
  5. Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children.

Join our dedicated Fostering Support and Supervision Team based at The Old Library Building, Bird Street, Lichfield, Staffordshire WS13 6PN, with free parking available nearby. Led by a Support Manager, the team offers strong leadership and opportunities for professional development.

Who We're Looking For:

We seek a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England who has experience in fostering, looked-after children, or safeguarding. Strong assessment and report-writing skills are essential, as is the ability to work flexibly, including occasional travel for out-of-county visits.
