Job Title: Social Worker – Sefton Council – Adult’s Learning Disability Team

Location: Sefton

Rate: £35.00

An exciting job role has recently become available at Sefton Council. They are looking for a new member for their Adult’s Learning Disability Team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a complex caseload with supervision, ensuring compliance with policy, procedures, and legislation.
  • Preparing statements and representing clients in court within legislative frameworks.
  • Making complex decisions involving service users and needs-led assessments.
  • Assessing risk and need in complex cases, conducting safeguarding investigations, and maintaining updated care plans.
  • Developing care plans with other agencies, reflecting service user wishes and leading to personalized care.
  • Negotiating care arrangements with individuals, balancing choice with budget constraints.
  • Collaborating across multi-agency teams and working directly with adults and their families.
  • Communicating effectively in high-risk situations, demonstrating strong communication and decision-making skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

Must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, and hold a full UK driving licence. Post-qualified experience and a degree level or equivalent qualification in Social Work are required.
