Job summary

Pro Social Partners Ltd is recruiting a permanent Social Worker for the Safeguarding / Court Team in Northampton, Northamptonshire. The role involves managing a caseload of children in need and in protection plans, completing Section 47 work, and preparing reports for conferences.

You will work with partner agencies to reduce risk and ensure children's voices are central. Court work includes care proceedings, PLO, and providing evidence in court.

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
• Post-qualifying experience in child protection and/or care proceedings.
• Sound knowledge of Working Together to Safeguard Children and statutory processes.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children subject to Child in Need and Child Protection plans.
• Undertake Section 47 enquiries, assessments and direct work with children and families.
• Prepare reports and present at child protection conferences and core group meetings.
• Work closely with partner agencies to reduce risk and improve outcomes for children.
• Keep children's voices at the centre of all assessment and planning.
• Court Team roles: manage care proceedings and PLO, writing court statements and giving evidence.
