Overview

Step into a rewarding and impactful role with Harrow Council as a Locum Social Worker in the Safeguarding Adults and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team . You will be working in a supportive, forward-thinking environment, helping shape effective safeguarding practices across a diverse borough.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver a high-quality social work service focused on safeguarding adults at risk .

* Lead and conduct Section 42 enquiries , ensuring compliance with the Care Act 2014.

* Participate in Strategy Meetings and Case Conferences , collaborating with multi-agency partners.

* Develop and implement Protection Plans that promote safety, independence, and wellbeing.

* Carry out assessments and reviews in a variety of settings, including homes, hospitals, and care facilities.

* Provide duty cover one day per week to address urgent safeguarding concerns and ensure responsive interventions.

* Promote and uphold the principles of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) .

Ideal Candidate Profile

* Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration .

* Proven experience in adult safeguarding, risk assessment , and multi-agency working .

* Sound knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and DoLS legislation .

* Excellent communication, analysis, and documentation skills.

* Ability to manage a complex caseload with autonomy and confidence.

* £32.00 hourly rate - competitive and reflective of your expertise.
