Job summary

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Social Worker for its client's Referral and Assessment Team in Tower Hamlets. The role involves screening referrals, conducting initial assessments to determine risk and eligibility, and deciding on further interventions under sections 17/47.

You will conduct home visits, liaise with police and schools, prepare reports, and escalate cases to child protection teams when needed. DBS and compliance support provided.

Qualifications

• Registered with Social Work England.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Post-qualified experience.
• DBS and compliance service provided.

• Dedicated consultant with extensive social work knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Receive and screen referrals from professionals, families, or the public.
• Conduct initial assessments to determine risk levels and service eligibility.
• Decide on whether cases require further intervention under Section 17 or 47.
• Undertake home visits and interviews with children and families.
• Liaise with police, schools, health services and agencies to gather information.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for action.
• Escalate cases to child protection teams when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records and timely responses to referrals.
