Job description

Social Worker - Older People & Hospital Social Worker

The assignment is for 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

£28 - 36 per hour

We currently have a short-term vacancy for a Social Worker to work in our Older People & Hospital Social Work Services.

The suitable candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality social work services to older people and their families/carers who are deemed vulnerable or in need of support.

The role involves working with citizens, carers, and families to promote independence and provide necessary support, ensuring that they are at the center of decision-making about their lives and desired outcomes.

Skills and Qualifications Required:
  1. Social Work qualification, with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, plus proficiency in technology & software skills.
  2. Registration with Social Care Wales.
  3. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Candidates should live locally or within a commutable distance, as the position is based in Conwy County.

The worker will be based at Eirias Park Leisure Centre, Colwyn Bay, Conwy.

The assignment is expected to last approximately 12 weeks, with the potential for extension.
