You will need to be highly motivated and able to deal with a large volume of referrals which come into the MASH. You should have a commitment to safeguarding adults at risk and upholding the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal. You must be able to identify and prioritise risk, taking appropriate action to reduce and minimise future risks. You should be committed to forging links with our partner agencies who we work closely with as part of the MASH team.

You must have a relevant Social Work qualification such as Degree in social Work, Dip SW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent, have passed your progression in Social Work and be currently registered with Social Work England.

Full details of the post are held within the person specification; however, we have included some quotes from our team members to say why you should apply for this post.

• “Joining the MASH has been my best career decision to date. The managers go above and beyond to create a nurturing, protective and supportive work culture. We are a dynamic and friendly team, with a huge range of experience between us. Staff are always willing to step up to help one another in a fast-paced working environment”.

• “The best career move, supportive team, varied work and no day is the same”.

• “I have worked in the MASH for 2 years and can say it is by far one of my better decisions when changing my career pathway”.

• “The team accepted me with open arms and have continued to be supportive, not just within the MASH but when I have experienced some personal challenges”.

• “I strongly recommend applying, it can be challenging but will allow you to develop personal and professional skills in a supportive environment”.

• ”Lovely place to work, supportive environment and feeling like you are making a difference to peoples’ lives”.

• “The MASH team is the best place I have worked; the managers and the team members are genuinely supportive both within and outside work environment and facilitate a good work-life balance.

As you can tell we are a happy, supportive, and dynamic team, and below are more reasons to why you should apply.

• Generous annual leave in addition to bank holidays and the ability to buy additional leave

• Access to a flexible working scheme between 7.00am and 7.00pm by negotiation (depending on operational requirements).

• Access to a generous, defined benefit pension scheme

• Combination of home-based and office working based at Westgate Community College
