Job description

Overview

Social Worker, Mental Health social care team, Sutton. This role is a duty Mental Health Social Worker, on duty 5 days per week (Monday to Friday). The Social Worker should be experienced in managing complex Adults Mental Health cases and should ideally have experience working with multi-disciplinary professionals, S117, attending ward rounds, working with Housing and brokerage, Court of Protection applications, Mental Health Tribunals, safeguarding enquiries and duty work. A driver with own transport is required to travel around the borough and out of borough when needed. The role involves working under a pressurised environment and prioritising workloads in a fast-paced duty setting. The Social Worker should be proactive in managing complex caseloads.

Salary: £32 per hour.

There is plenty of hybrid working available. This is an agency post with Pertemps in place to support you.

Responsibilities

• Provide duty Mental Health Social Work support, managing complex Adult Mental Health cases.
• Engage with multi-disciplinary professionals and participate in ward rounds.
• Work with Housing and brokerage, S117 aftercare, and Court of Protection applications.
• Support Mental Health Tribunals and carry out safeguarding enquiries as part of duty work.
• Travelling around the borough and out of borough as required by the role.
• Prioritise workloads and work effectively in a fast-paced and pressured environment.

• Experience managing complex Adults Mental Health cases.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary professionals, S117, ward rounds, Housing and brokerage, Court of Protection, and Mental Health Tribunals is preferred.
• Full driving licence and own transport required for travel between sites.
• Ability to work under pressure, be proactive, and manage complex caseloads.
