Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the MASH Team to work full time based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £42,503 per annum.

Responsibilities:
  1. To safeguard and promote the welfare of disabled children/young people and support their families and carers by working with cases appropriate to your assessed experience, skills, and knowledge.
  2. To assess the needs and circumstances.
  3. To plan, carry out, review, and evaluate social work practice with them and other professionals.
  4. To support them, to represent their needs, views, and circumstances.
  5. To manage risk to children, young people, families, carers, self, and others.
  6. To manage and be accountable with supervision and support for own social work practice.
  7. To assist and provide advice to families and carers.
  8. To maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of skills and resources by training and supervision.
  9. To advise management of the needs and resources within the community.
  10. To keep accurate and up-to-date records.
  11. To demonstrate professional competence in social work practice by using current knowledge and working within agreed standards of best work practice and carrying out duties in accordance with the HCPC codes of practice.
  12. To contribute to/undertake the assessment and supervision of students, support new staff by coaching, and take part in joint work with less experienced staff to support them in their casework.
  13. To work closely with other agencies within the community, both statutory and voluntary, in support of preventative strategies.
  14. To maintain County Policies on Equal Opportunities and Anti-Racism.
  15. To carry out other duties as defined by the Director of Children's Services.
Requirements:
  1. A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  2. Understanding of relevant legislation.
  3. Social Work England registered.
