We have a locum position within our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children. This opportunity offers a competitive rate of £35 per hour on an ongoing contract.

What you will do
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, supporting early intervention and prevention strategies.
  • Develop safety plans tailored to each child’s needs, managing complex cases with precision and care.
  • Analyse information from various sources to ensure timely and effective service delivery for children and families in need.
  • Collaborate with professionals from different backgrounds to deliver a multi-agency approach to safeguarding children.
  • Utilise knowledge of the Signs of Safety framework and Mosaic system to inform and implement best-practice strategies.
Requirements for the Social Worker
  • Degree or equivalent in social work; current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant frontline experience in UK Social Services, particularly within a MASH or Screening Team setting.
  • Clear understanding of thresholds, risk management, and the ability to work at pace.
  • The ideal candidate will thrive in fast-paced environments and bring knowledge to assessing and supporting children at risk. Because you’ll be based in a police building initially, consent for South Yorkshire Police vetting checks is required; remote work is supported until checks are complete.
