An exciting opportunity for a Social Worker within the MASH team. North East Lincolnshire requires a Social Worker to join their Integrated Front Door Team based in their new office in Grimsby.

What will your responsibilities be?

As a key member of a Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub, you will liaise with families and various agencies to ensure clear plans are in place to support a family’s needs and respond to risks. Your primary function will be to undertake screening and respond to all new referrals into children’s social care. You will be the first point of contact for children, young people, and families in need or in need of safeguarding within the City of Sheffield. As part of a team delivering high-quality and effective services to children, young people, and their families/carers, you will promote and safeguard the welfare of children living in the city. This involves complying with relevant legislation and regulation, maintaining the highest professional standards, and ensuring the consistent application of the threshold to step up from early help to children’s social care.

Strong communication, engagement, and analytical skills are essential to safeguard children and young people and engage effectively with a wide range of agencies. You will need a sound knowledge of relevant legislation and experience working in a front-line team, with a thorough understanding of thresholds and universal services. Consistently applying high standards is crucial to ensure better outcomes for children and their families. Experience and skills in multi-agency partnership working across Children’s Services are necessary to promote cooperation and work together with other organizations and service users to shape, develop, and deliver services effectively.
