Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting a Social Worker for the Looked After Children Team in Luton. This ongoing role offers full-time or part-time options to suit your lifestyle, with a focus on safeguarding and welfare for children in care.

You will manage caseloads, conduct assessments, and work with partners across agencies to ensure safe, stable outcomes for children. Registration with Social Work England is required.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Social Work (Degree, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in Children's Social Care.
• Experience with looked-after children or similar settings.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Registration with Social Work England is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of looked-after children within statutory timescales.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and statutory visits and contribute to permanence planning.
• Develop child-centric care plans that promote safety and stability.
• Collaborate with foster carers, residential providers, health services and other agencies for holistic care.
• Compile reports and professional assessments for court proceedings and reviews.
