Locum Social Worker in Locality Team, Pontefract

We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join the Locality Team in Pontefract on a full-time, ongoing contract. This role offers a competitive pay rate of £35 per hour. What you will do

• Engage in locality safeguarding, including duty and assessment, Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Public Law Outline (PLO) and Court work
• Work full-time, collaborating directly in the office to support children and families
• Develop and implement care plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain accurate documentation
• Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic child and family support
• Attend court and present evidence to support the child’s welfare

Requirements of the Social Worker

• Degree or equivalent in social work, plus full Social Work England registration
• Significant frontline experience in UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker
• Proven expertise in locality safeguarding with a focus on duty and assessment, CIN, CP, PLO, and Court work
