Job description

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Social Worker registered with Social Work England to join our Adult Safeguarding Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and well-being of adults at risk. You will support individuals through a person-centred and strengths-based approach, empowering them to maintain control over their lives while ensuring they receive the necessary support and protection by Making Safeguarding Personal.

Responsibilities:
  1. Triaging Safeguarding Concerns as a duty worker.
  2. Undertaking Section 42 Enquiries in accordance with the Care Act 2014.
  3. Assessing and managing risk collaboratively with individuals, families, and multi-agency partners.
  4. Managing a caseload effectively, demonstrating strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  5. Completing Care Act assessments to identify eligible needs and support independence.
  6. Applying the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 to uphold individuals' rights, choices, and best interests.
  7. Working in partnership with health services, police, housing, and other agencies.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Registered with Social Work England.
  2. Strong understanding of legislation including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR, and Human Rights Act 1998.
  3. Ability to build meaningful relationships, recognising individuals' strengths and aspirations.
  4. Experience in managing safeguarding cases and working with complex situations sensitively and professionally.
