Job Description:

Archer Resourcing have a great opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join the Leaving Care Team in Burnley.

Working in the Leaving Care Team, you will be supporting young people in the care system, as well as care leavers. You will be part of a hard-working team who are dedicated to making sure that young people are given the advice and support that they need during change, to ensure that they feel ready and able to leave the care system.

The role will involve:

  • Building long term, effective, relationships with children in care, as well as leavers
  • Ensuring children have a good pathway once they leave care
  • Ensuring that care leavers understand their life story, and are well supported throughout
  • Ensuring that the needs of children are addressed and met
  • Supporting children in care throughput their education

Requirements:

  • Social Work degree or equivalent
  • Social Work England registered
  • Enhanced DBS - on the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Hold a UK driving license and access to own vehicle
