Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join the Rough Sleeping Drug & Alcohol Treatment Team, delivering strengths-based assessments and person-centred support to individuals experiencing rough sleeping across Hampshire.

You will manage a complex caseload, provide supervision to a Senior Case Worker, apply Mental Capacity Act, Care Act and Mental Health Act, and work with partner organisations to promote wellbeing and independence.

Qualifications

• Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England (SWE). Newly Qualified Social Workers not considered.
• Experience applying a strengths-based approach in social care.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and legal frameworks in social services.
• Understanding of Mental Capacity Act, Care Act and Mental Health Act.
• Commitment to compassion, empathy and respect in practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide practice leadership and case oversight by supervising a Senior Case Worker and guiding complex cases.
• Triage referrals and safeguarding concerns, respond to enquiries, identify risks and escalate when needed.
• Build partnerships and deliver assessments via stakeholder relationships and capacity, carers and wellbeing assessments.
• Maintain high professional standards with accurate records, reports and ongoing professional development.
