We offer comprehensive training to support continuous professional development and deliver a broad range of interventions, including established accredited group work programmes. We are implementing Trauma-Informed Care, Safe & Together, and Restorative Justice practice models across our services. We have established a Women's Centre to deliver all Justice Services for women, reducing barriers and meeting the needs of women involved in the Justice System.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Willow Services, working from the Women's Justice Centre, where we offer trauma-informed, gender-specific services aligned with evidence-based key principles. Women aged 18 and above can attend either as part of a statutory Order or voluntarily, including women entitled to support due to their partner's/ex-partner's involvement with the Caledonian system.

The team is multidisciplinary, including support workers, social workers, psychologists, nursing staff, key third-sector partners, and peer supporters, all contributing to a range of interventions and support offered to women in an integrated manner. This includes one-to-one and group work interventions, as well as community outreach support.

The post holder will contribute to a broad range of services alongside colleagues from other disciplines. They will be an experienced social worker with in-depth knowledge of the justice system and understanding of issues facing women. Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health difficulties and complex trauma is essential, along with knowledge of best practice approaches. The role requires experience in risk assessment and management within various legal frameworks in justice, including adult support and protection legislation.

This position is open to female candidates only (Occupational Requirement exception under the Equality Act 2010).

Candidates must hold a Social Work qualification recognized by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and be registered or eligible for registration with the SSSC.

This role involves Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all staff feel valued and able to perform at their best. We recognize the benefits of a diverse workforce and aim to attract candidates with varied values, beliefs, experiences, and backgrounds. To support this, we are shifting from competency-based interviews to a behavioural and technical skills approach, assessing how you think and how you would embody our core behaviors of Respect, Integrity, and Flexibility in your work.

Our salary range typically reflects the starting salary, with annual increases until reaching the top of the range.
