Job Title: Social Worker – Adults Safeguarding Team
Location: Harrow
Rate: £35 per hour
Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join a busy Adults Safeguarding Team based in Harrow.
Responsibilities:
You will take personal responsibility for continuing professional development and maintaining performance levels. You will manage your time effectively and respond flexibly to service needs. You will provide support and cover for the Team Manager and/or Principal Manager. Actively participating in the performance management system, including supervision, PAR, team meetings, and service reviews, will be part of your role. You will follow departmental health and safety procedures and develop skills through work experience in various divisional situations, such as secondments, job rotation, and shadowing. You will contribute to information management processes and support social work students on placement under the direction of the Principal or Practice Manager, acting as a workplace supervisor or Practice Teacher if appropriately trained. You will need to understand and integrate into practice the key policies of the council in relation to social care with children and families, especially multi-disciplinary working, integration, and whole family approaches.
Qualifications and Experiences:
You must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a full UK driving licence, and have post-qualified experience. A degree level or equivalent qualification in Social Work is also required. The ideal candidate will be proficient in safeguarding and triage, with prior experience working in this style of team and knowledge of Section 42. Strong analytical skills for rapid case assessment and detailed knowledge of legislation to make well-informed decisions and signpost accordingly are essential.
