Job summary

Richmond and Wandsworth Councils is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Wandsworth Locality team. The role focuses on holistic, strength-based social care for adults over 18 with physical and mental health needs, with a salary up to £52,767 and a 36-hour week.

The post requires post-qualification experience and knowledge of safeguarding duties. You will work from the office a minimum of three days per week and have access to extensive professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Post-qualification experience in social care and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Good knowledge of relevant legislation and local authority safeguarding duties.
• Strong communication, decision-making and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking assessments of service users and carers to enable independence and safety.
• Work in partnership with service users and carers using a person-centred approach to maximise wellbeing and choice.
• Apply social work principles and values to guidance professional practice and diversity.
