Job summary

Richmond and Wandsworth Adult Social Services are recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join the Wandsworth Locality team. The role focuses on adults with physical disabilities and older people, delivering holistic, personalised support and safeguarding as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

You will undertake assessments, work in partnership with service users and carers, and access development opportunities through the Adult Social Care Academy.

Qualifications

• You must have post qualification experience with safeguarding knowledge.
• Excellent communication, decision-making and time management skills.
• Experience working with adults with physical and mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Undertake assessments of individual and carer needs and risks to promote independence and safety.
• Collaborate with service users and carers using a person-centred approach to maximise wellbeing.
• Apply social work principles and safeguarding duties to protect adults at risk.
