What you will do:

• Undertake statutory assessments in accordance with the Children Act 1989, focusing on S17, S47, and S20.
• Navigate a complex caseload involving children in need, child protection, and care proceedings with skill and sensitivity.
• Collaborate closely with parents, children, and a network of multi-agency partners, including health, education, police, and other services addressing substance misuse and domestic abuse.
• Implement and meticulously review child protection plans, child in need plans, and Looked After Children (LAC) plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with departmental policies and statutory requirements.
• Apply motivational interviewing and strength-based approaches within the innovative Family Safeguarding model.
• Present and attend cases at legal planning meetings, case conferences, court hearings, and reviews with confidence and clarity.
• Engage in team and service development, actively contributing to a positive learning culture.
