Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding team on a locum basis. The role requires court experience and prior work in a Family Safeguarding team. 2/3 days in the office at Fenland/Wisbech, with registration to Remedy for locum positions.

Appointment involves statutory visits, chairing meetings, managing cases and contributing to court reports. The agency notes a referral bonus and emphasizes safeguarding duties within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Complete statutory visits CIN, CP and CIC.
• Chair CIN and Core Group Meetings.
• Hold caseload of CIN, CP and CIC, including cases in PLO or S31 Care Proceedings.
• Complete Court Reports, risk assessments and parenting assessments; attend Court with support.
• Support with Duty rotas.
• Attend ICPC and RCPCs; write conference reports.
• Manage and assess risk.

You will be required to fully register with Remedy for all locum positions.
