We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join the Emergency Duty Team (EDT) as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) in Gateshead. This locum position offers a fantastic rate of £59.64 per hour and the chance to cover short-term sickness absence with the possibility of extension. What you will do

• Provide assessments and interventions for individuals in crisis, utilizing your AMHP expertise.
• Make critical decisions regarding mental health assessments and ensure the well-being of service users.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all cases handled.
• Advocate for individuals’ rights and ensure they receive the necessary care and support.

Requirements

• Hold a degree or an equivalent qualification in social work.
• Currently registered with Social Work England.
• Demonstrated significant frontline experience working within UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker.
