An established industry player is seeking a dedicated professional to join their Learning Disability Team. This permanent role involves protecting and promoting the welfare of children and adults at risk, requiring collaboration with various agencies. Protect and promote the welfare and wellbeing of Children, Adults at Risk, and Communities through the exercise of Statutory Powers to address complex issues. This involves assessing needs, formulating, and implementing care plans in collaboration with external agencies and partner organizations. The role supports the promotion, delivery, and integration of key objectives within the Health & Social Care Partnership Plan and the Community Plan.
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal employment offer is made by East Ayrshire Council.

Following national Safer Recruitment guidance, applicants must provide at least two relevant references, including one from their current or most recent employer, which should be from an appropriate senior manager, not a peer at the same level.
This is a permanent position within the Learning Disability Team.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Salary: £40,495 - £44,117 plus a 5% Market Forces payment.
The workstyle is 'Flexible' — 50% to 79% of your time in an office or multiple work locations.
You will work at your administrative base or another agreed location between 2.5 to 4 days per week, with occasional work from home.
The admin base is at North West Area Centre, Kilmarnock.
All office-based employees (except those in schools) are expected to work towards the higher end of their workstyle in terms of time spent in the office or other locations.
