Job Title:Social Worker – Duty and Assessment
Location:North Wales
Salary:£41.12 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Duty and Assessment team in North Wales. As a Duty and Assessment Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing the needs of individuals and families, ensuring their well-being and safety. You’ll work closely with local authority child care teams, providing timely and thorough assessments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of children, adults, and carers to determine their care and support needs.
  • Investigate safeguarding concerns (including Section 47 inquiries) promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, agencies, and stakeholders to develop care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
  • Uphold the principles of respectful conversations and person-centered care.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and reviews.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with the Care Council for Wales (CCW).
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience, including work in fostering or child protection.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and assessment frameworks.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
