Job Title: Social Worker – Duty and Assessment
Location: Liverpool
Rate: £42 /hour
We have exciting opportunities for experienced social workers to join our Duty and Assessment team at Liverpool Children’s Services. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and on-site as needed. You will be part of a supportive and welcoming team committed to improving outcomes for children and families in Liverpool.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will respond to referrals and undertake assessments within set timescales. You will identify needs and work with children and families to provide support and implement plans. You will handle section 47 enquiries, CIN, assessments, and planning. You will collaborate with professionals to support children and their families. You will manage cases involving children on child in need plans for short-term periods until step down or step up to ICPC, at which point cases transfer to the longer-term assessment service.
Requirements
You need a minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience as a social worker. You must have completed ASYE. You should have experience working with children and families in a safeguarding setting. You need knowledge and skills in dealing with section 47 enquiries, CIN, assessments, and planning. Effective communication skills are essential. You must be able to work both from home and the office (3 days a week in Liverpool, full week on-site during duty week). It is essential that you are a car driver and have access to a vehicle.
