Job description

The Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) is a registered charity that has been transforming the lives of people affected by drugs and alcohol misuse for over 40 years. Aspire is a partnership between ADS and Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH). It combines the strengths of NHS provision, under the leadership of a consultant, with the voluntary sector provided by ADS. The partnership has worked together for over 20 years, providing Drug and Alcohol Services to local communities. It is a forward-thinking and innovative partnership that works closely with recovery communities to provide flexible, responsive services aimed at achieving the best outcomes for service users and the community. Main duties of the job

The criminal justice team supports individuals involved in the judicial system, helping them lead meaningful lives. This team collaborates closely with courts, probation, and prisons to support and guide individuals away from crime and offending, often linked to addiction issues.

If you are a qualified and registered Social Worker with experience or interest in working with substance users, we would like to hear from you. For newly qualified Social Workers, we support the ASYE programme.

Job responsibilities

You will be required to work across multiple locations as needed. ADS reserves the right to change your usual place of work to other bases or partner agencies.

Your duties include providing assessments, brief interventions, and referrals for substance misusers within the custody suite and court settings.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check
