Overview

Social Worker within Court Team in Plymouth (UK), earning £48.01 per hour, on an ongoing basis. This full-time role requires attendance in the office for duty week (5 days – 1 in 7 weeks), and generally 3 days per week is expected for face-to-face work. We’re searching for skilled social workers with experience in care proceedings, from attending court to request an Interim Court Order, through to the Final Hearing. What you will do
  • Manage complex case holdings involving care proceedings from initial court requests through to Final Hearings.
  • Conduct thorough parenting assessments and viability assessments of family members.
  • Write detailed care plans and final care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and families.
  • Visit children in placements across the UK, ensuring their well-being and safety.
  • Use a trauma-informed approach to work with children who have a child protection plan.
  • Participate in the office duty week as part of your role, ensuring support and consistency for team goals.
