An established city authority is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join their Adult Social Worker teams. This role is pivotal in supporting adults with diverse needs, ensuring they receive the necessary care and resources to lead fulfilling lives. You will work closely with clients, utilizing your expertise in social work and knowledge of current legislation to navigate funding and support systems. The position offers flexibility in working hours and a supportive environment for professional development. Join a team committed to making a difference in the community while enjoying a range of benefits that promote work-life balance and personal growth.
All about the Role
The Adult Social Worker teams at Peterborough City Council support all adults, including those living with physical disabilities, older adults, people with sensory impairments, or a learning disability.
The Adult Team’s work operates within the parameters of The Care Act 2014 eligibility. When an adult is identified as needing additional care, housing, or a supported living placement, they play a vital role in ensuring they can live fulfilling lives within those eligible needs.
As part of these teams, you will ensure the correct funding stream is in place for those in your care, using Continuing Healthcare Checklist protocols and signposting people to natural support areas, guided by the Peterborough Information Network.
If you have flexible working requests, such as early starts/finishes, 9-day fortnights, or compressed hours, these can be discussed with your manager.
The team has a full-time role available. Given it’s a city authority, you won’t need to travel far but must have means of transport to attend appointments within the local area.
