Grade H £37,035 - £40,476 plus essential car usage allowance

Grade I £40,476 - £44,711 plus essential car usage allowance

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Role specifics: CQSW/DIPSW/SW Degree or equivalent. Candidates must be SWE registered and subject to an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service. Applicants must hold a full, current, and valid driving licence, a vehicle with a current MOT certificate, and adequate vehicle insurance in line with the council’s requirements, as per the Travel Costs Reimbursement Policy.

The Role: To ensure the team provides an efficient and effective service to Bolton residents. Responsibilities include: detailed assessment of need (Care Act), asset-based support planning, conducting carers assessments, capacity assessments, best interest decision-making, and continuing health care assessments.

Interdisciplinary and multi-agency working is a key part of the role.

Experience of resettlement from out-of-area placements, transition work for young adults, supporting individuals moving from family homes, and safeguarding investigations is preferable but not essential.

We welcome applications from newly qualified Social Workers and offer extensive support through ASYE and Continuing Professional Development.

About You: Enthusiastic and motivated individuals passionate about working with adults with learning disabilities. Ability to develop relationships with team members, external organizations, service users, and carers. Skills in multidisciplinary team working and decision-making. Ability to stay focused, manage workload, and work in a hybrid environment.
