An established industry player is seeking a dedicated individual to join the Supported Lodgings Team. This role focuses on assisting young homeless individuals, typically aged 16-21, in preparing for independent living. You will be responsible for creating new placements by matching young people with providers and conducting regular supervision. Working within the Supported Lodgings Team, which is part of Housing Services, the post supports Lodging Providers in the community who accommodate and support young homeless individuals, typically aged between 16-21.
The young people may be care leavers, independent, or unaccompanied asylum seekers, and the role involves helping them prepare for more independent accommodation.
The post holder will create new placements by matching young people with providers and conduct regular supervision. They will also work with prospective new providers and our panel to prepare them for roles as Lodgings Providers. Additionally, there is some finance and payment work to support providers.
The role may require community visiting and involves working with limited supervision.
