About the Role:

Are you an experienced Social Worker passionate about supporting children and young people with disabilities? Bury Council is seeking a dedicated Children’s Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team on a temporary basis, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children with disabilities, undertaking statutory assessments, care planning, and reviews.
  • Work collaboratively with families and multi-agency professionals to develop tailored support plans.
  • Safeguard children through risk assessment and intervention in line with statutory requirements.
  • Complete reports for court, panel, and child protection conferences.
  • Promote inclusion and advocacy for children with additional needs.
