Job summary

Essex County Council is recruiting a Social Worker for the Children with Disabilities service in Basildon. The role covers managing a defined caseload and delivering direct work to improve outcomes for children and families within the Disabilities service.

Open to Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs) and experienced Social Workers. ASYE progression applies; salary ranges from £36,124 to £51,834 with a nine-day working fortnight and flexible working options.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in social work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent and registration with Social Work England.
Fram ework PCF, Knowledge & Skills Statement (KSS).
Demonstrate ability in applying social work knowledge with emotional intelligence and analytical skills.
Ability to use information technology and related systems (e.g., Word, case recording).
Willingness to work flexibly, occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Managing a defined caseload and working effectively with children, young people and families to achieve positive change.
Carrying out enquiries, assessments, direct work and reviews in Child Protection, Child in Need and Children Looked After cases.
Striving for permanency and positive outcomes for children in care.
