Social Worker – Children’s Safeguarding Team – Powys

£38.43 per hour

About the Role:

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join the long-term Children’s Safeguarding team. Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced professional with a passion for working with children and families, as well as expertise in identifying and managing child protection concerns or addressing ongoing issues. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement measurable, timely interventions in Child Protection/Children in Need (CIN) plans.
  • Identify when further intervention is required to protect children within your caseload and take appropriate action.
  • Champion practice improvement, actively participate in process, procedure, policy, and strategy development.
  • Manage and assess risk, leveraging technical authority and deep expertise in social care practice.
  • Support and mentor others while maintaining credibility and hands-on experience in complex cases.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Registered with Social Work Wales.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work.
  • Post-qualified experience.
  • Significant experience in progressing Child Protection and Children in Need (CIN) plans.
  • Expertise in assessing and managing risk in complex cases.
  • Organized, resilient, and adept at balancing multiple priorities while focusing on the best outcomes for children.
