Remedy Social Work is assisting Somerset Council in filling a locum Qualified Social Worker role in the Sedgemoor area, within the Children Looked After Team in Bridgwater. You will manage a caseload of looked-after children aged 1–17, conduct effective care planning and fulfil statutory duties, serving as frontline corporate parent.

• Registered with Social Work England.
• Experience working with children and families in social work.
• Experience of care proceedings and adoption processes.
• Ability to work across statutory duties with looked-after children.

Aufgaben

• Maintain a manageable caseload of looked-after children aged 1–17.
• Deliver effective care planning and ensure statutory duties are met.
• Engage with families and carers and coordinate with the wider network.
• Collaborate with the Reunification team for intensive support when needed.
• Provide direct work with children and supervise casework under guidance.
