Position: Social Worker - Children in Care Team Location: Weston-super-Mare, UK Contract: Locum (Ongoing) Pay Rate: £38.00 per hour Hours: Full-time or Part-time (flexible working options available)

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join the Children in Care Team in Weston-super-Mare. This is an ongoing locum opportunity offering flexibility and competitive pay. Whether you prefer full-time or part-time work, this role provides the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children while maintaining control over your schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of children in care, ensuring their safety, stability, and development.

Develop and implement care plans tailored to each child's needs and aspirations.

Work collaboratively with foster carers, residential staff, and families to ensure positive outcomes.

Partner with education, health, and legal professionals to deliver a coordinated and holistic approach.

Represent the local authority in court and prepare detailed, accurate reports as required.

Advocate for children, ensuring their voices are central to care planning.

Stay informed of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices through ongoing professional development.

Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree or equivalent).

Registration with Social Work England .

Experience in children's social work, preferably in Children in Care or safeguarding.

Enhanced DBS check.

Full UK driving licence and access to own transport, or ability to travel effectively across the area.

£38.00 per hour - competitive rate reflecting your experience and contribution.
