Job Title: Social Worker – Child in Care team
Location: Lincolnshire
Rate: Up to £37 per hour
An exciting opportunity for a Social Worker within the Child In Care team. Lincolnshire’s Children’s Services is seeking qualified social workers with at least 2 years post-qualifying experience, including experience of working with children in long-term care to join our Children in Care team. You will be supporting children whose care plan is long-term care through to independence.
What will your responsibilities be?
In the realm of service delivery and safeguarding, you will conduct preventative work to mitigate risks, provide therapeutic social work services, and use legislation to protect service users. Managing complex cases involves overseeing a diverse caseload with intricate decision-making, ensuring detailed planning and critical evaluation. Your expertise and legal involvement will be crucial as you offer expert care reviews, act as a witness in legal proceedings, and present evidence and reports in court. Collaborative practices are essential, requiring you to work with various agencies to deliver comprehensive social work services and influence outcomes through professional networking. Professional development and mentorship are also key components, as you guide less experienced colleagues, educate social work students, and engage in continuous learning to adhere to professional standards. Additionally, you will maintain ethical practice, keep accurate records, manage a challenging workload, and support departmental policies and training initiatives.
Qualifications and Experiences:
To be eligible for this role, you must hold a Social Work England registration and be eligible to work in the UK. Additionally, you need to possess a full UK driving licence and have a Social Work qualification, such as a degree or an equivalent certification. A minimum of two years’ experience as a social worker within children’s services is also required.
