As a Children’s Social Worker at Northamptonshire Children’s Trust, you’ll join a supportive learning culture, influence change, challenge others, and share your expertise.
Our Children in Care Team oversees all children in care within Northamptonshire, including those involved in legal proceedings and those with long-term care plans. We focus on building meaningful relationships with young people, their families, and carers to plan effectively for each child's future. Your role involves conducting clear, accurate assessments, coordinating multi-agency approaches, and fostering positive relationships.
This is a fast-paced, busy role committed to delivering positive outcomes for children and families through collaboration with the Leaving Care Service and external partners.

You should have experience working with looked after children, gained through roles in LAC, court teams, safeguarding services, or other children’s services.
This role is fast-paced and aims to deliver positive outcomes for children and families in collaboration with colleagues and partners.
You are an experienced, qualified, registered social worker, having completed your ASYE, with a passion for delivering best practice and supporting children, young people, and families.
You are an effective communicator, capable of building positive, strength-based relationships with diverse children, young people, and families.
You are confident in your analysis and decision-making, delivering purposeful, effective social care with support from experienced colleagues and managers.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check and a Barred List check.
