Job description

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker within the Children & Families Team in Cheltenham, earning £43 per hour on a locum basis for 3 months. This full-time role offers the chance to make a real impact in the community by supporting children and families with a flexible working arrangement; you will need to be in the office 3 days per week, allowing for a balance of office and home working. You will manage a varied caseload including some court work, ensuring effective, evidence-based interventions with a focus on timeliness and impact. With a caseload around 18, this role provides plenty of variety and challenge to keep your skills sharp while making a meaningful difference.

What you will do:

1. Manage and hold a caseload of children within the Children in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care sectors.
2. Develop and implement effective, evidence-based intervention strategies for the welfare of children and families.
3. Conduct face-to-face interactions with children, ensuring their needs and voices are at the forefront of all planning.
4. Complete necessary documentation and reports for court proceedings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
5. Collaborate with team members and other professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for children and families.
