Job Description:

Job Title: Social Worker (Children and Families)

Location: West Midlands (3 days in office/visit, rest remote)

Salary: £38 – £40 per hour

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct timely and thorough assessments of children’s needs, drawing on theoretical knowledge, evidence, and best practices.
  • Enable families to develop plans for necessary changes, ensuring sustainable improvements in children’s lives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental quality assurance and improvement efforts.
  • Support the learning and development of others, including mentoring ASYE colleagues.
  • Maintain high-quality court reports and case notes.
  • Promote health and well-being in the workplace, fostering a sense of belonging and safety.
  • Engage respectfully with diverse individuals, recognizing their worth and preserving dignity.
  • Stay informed about changing policies and adhere to the Code of Ethics and social work values.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent)
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Experience in child protection and safeguarding
  • Strong communication and assessment skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
