Job Title: Social Worker – Adult Safeguarding team

Location: Bolton Council

Rate: £30 per hour

An exciting job opportunity has recently become available at a council in the Bolton area. They are looking for a new member for their Safeguarding Adult Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prevent and protect those you support by recognizing signs of abuse or neglect and responding appropriately.
  • Identify and work with individuals, their representatives, or Best Interest Assessors if they lack capacity, to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Integrate safeguarding risks and benefits into care planning, regularly review care plans.
  • Coordinate safeguarding referrals, monitor progress, and undertake investigations within community and residential settings.
  • Chair professional and formal meetings related to service users, such as multi-disciplinary meetings and case conferences.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant research, government guidance, legislation, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of adult services, providing oversight and support to other professionals.
