Job Title: Social Worker (Children)
Location : Blackpool
Working Hours: Hybrid
Rate : £41.91 per hour
Over the past few years Blackpool Children Social Care has been involved with Born into Care and implemented a co-production group to establish new ways of working to support families. As a result, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a social worker to join us in the 0 – infant service, primarily working with pre-birth to 2 years. The focus is to provide early intervention and support to families to support, where possible, children remaining with their parents and family.
Responsibilities:
Managing a caseload, undertaking pre-birth assessments, and co-producing plans with parents, families, and wider partnerships. The role also involves chairing Child in Need meetings, core group meetings, and undertaking viability and connected care assessments, risk assessments, birth plans, and court work. Blackpool is looking for a social worker who is an expert in engaging families and other agencies; experience in this area is vital, as well as undertaking parenting assessments, risk assessments, and delivering targeted support and intervention.
