Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Social Worker for the Assessment & Intervention Team in Torbay. The role offers a locum, full-time position for up to three months with hourly pay up to £42 dependent on experience.

It provides office and remote working flexibility to support children and families with timely assessments and interventions. The successful candidate will carry a caseload of 20-24 cases, handle crisis responses, and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage high-quality assessments and interventions for children and families, ensuring timely progress.
• Work within a caseload of 20-24 cases, including Child in Need and Child Protection assessments.
• Respond promptly to crisis situations and Section 47 enquiries, using strong problem-solving skills.
• Be present in the office up to three days a week and full-time during duty weeks to collaborate with the team.
• Travel across Torbay and occasionally beyond to visit children as required.
• Participate in a duty rota, providing support on a rotation every three weeks.
