This is an exciting opportunity for experienced social workers to join our Assessment and Child Protection Service. The ACP team is responsible for conducting essential assessments and investigations relating to child protection, addressing potential risks and safeguarding children.

What you will do

• Conduct statutory assessments through home visits and consultations with other professionals and agencies.
• Gather and analyse information to assess potential risks to children and young people.
• Make informed decisions about whether a case should be closed or transferred to Long Term Locality Teams following assessments.
• Work collaboratively within the Assessment and Child Protection Team to ensure the best outcomes for children.
• Attend the office for one full week out of every four for duty week, as well as one to two days for the other weeks as needed.
