Job description

Social Worker - Area Team, Adult Social Care

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for an Experienced Social Worker within the Bromsgrove Team to work full time based in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.

The salary for this permanent Experienced Social Worker job is up to £39,186 per annum.

Responsibilities:
  1. To work with adults, using a strengths-based approach, who have complex or fluctuating needs and require intensive support to reduce and manage those risks.
  2. To work in partnership and engage other professionals to ensure there is a multi-agency approach which enables the adult and/or their carer to live as independently as possible.
  3. To represent the service, adults, and carers' views at a range of meetings and exchange information, make decisions, and review progress.
  4. To engage with adults and their carers using a strengths-based approach to identify available resources to meet their needs.
  5. To build excellent and effective relationships with other agencies and the local community to sign-post when appropriate.
  6. To gather and analyse information from a variety of sources that will provide an informed judgement for the decisions you make.
  7. The Social Worker will undertake duty responsibilities in line with the requirements of the team.
  8. The Social Worker must maintain accurate records in line with the Adult Services Recording Policy.
  9. To prepare and participate in reflective practice and supervision.
  10. The Social Worker must meet the continuing professional development requirements of the professional regulator and keep abreast of legislative changes.
  11. To participate in personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training.
  12. To undertake other such duties, training and/or hours as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job.
  13. Through meaningful conversations, you will carry out and review assessments and support plans for adults and their carers to build a good life within their communities.
Requirements:
  1. A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  2. Understanding of relevant legislation.
  3. Registered or eligible for registration.
  4. This post requires registration with the relevant health professional council/governing body (Social Care England).
