Salary: £42,392 - £45,860 per year

Contract Type: Temporary

Position Type: Full Time

Hours: 35 hours per week

The Children and Families Social Work Service in Argyll and Bute is looking for a temporary Social Worker to take forward our Bairns Hoose project. This would be an ideal opportunity for a Social Worker to gain project and service set up experience on a temporary or secondment basis.

Funding is initially until the end of March 2026.

This role will be part of the Child Protection team and will work closely with all children and family teams across Argyll and Bute.

The focus of the role will be as the Bairns Hoose Co-ordinator and will take responsibility for the newly established Bairns Hoose in Helensburgh, ensuring it runs to a high standard and meets the needs of those using it. The role will also take on the next phase of the Bairns Hoose project to establish a hub and spoke model across Argyll and Bute to meet the needs of all the populations.

The post holder will be based within the site and will require travel to each of the areas in Argyll and Bute to look at service delivery needs.

Candidates must be a qualified Social Worker and SSSC registered. A PVG will also be required. A driving licence is essential to enable efficient travel across Argyll and Bute.
