• Must be a registered Social Worker with experience in Social Care.
• Enhanced DBS/CRB is required, which can be obtained.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK and possess a driving licence or meet mobility requirements.

Overview

Ackerman Pierce is currently supporting a leading local authority within Colchester to recruit for Social Worker - Adults. This is a permanent role paying £37,185 - £50,081 per annum.

Responsibilities

• Case load management
• Completing reviews and assessments
• Working alongside other agencies
• Working to ensure the protection of vulnerable adults
• Promoting service users' choices, control and independence
• Supporting service users to live safely and independently in their own homes
• Assessing and reviewing existing service users placed in care homes
• Reviewing residential, nursing home or day centre placements
• Working effectively with other professionals
• Liaising with other professional bodies whilst working within the Mental Health Act
• Safeguarding Adults

Minimum Requirements

• SWE Registration
• 1-2 years post-qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
• Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• A driving licence and car - or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means - is essential
