What you will do

• Screen and assess referrals of adults at risk, identifying safeguarding concerns and determining appropriate responses to protect those in need
• Gather and share information with multi-agency partners, including health and police services, to inform risk assessments and make effective decisions
• Conduct initial risk assessments and contribute to Section 42 safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act 2014
• Make informed decisions on intervention pathways through signposting, assessment, or immediate protective action when necessary
• Maintain accurate case records and document decision-making processes on social care systems to ensure accountability and transparency
• Participate in strategy discussions and multi-agency meetings to coordinate safeguarding responses for better outcomes
• Ensure compliance with statutory duties and uphold local safeguarding procedures, maintaining high professional standards
• Champion safeguarding awareness and advocate for the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of adults at risk
